Perigon Celebrates Multiple Wins at the 2026 NECA Awards

Perigon was proud to celebrate an outstanding evening at the 2026 NECA Queensland Excellence Awards, held on 17 July 2026.

The night recognised excellence across our projects, people and wider contribution to the electrical industry, with Perigon receiving two major project awards, an individual industry honour and an Apprentice of the Year award.

Two Awards for 205 North Quay

205 North Quay received awards in both the Lighting Design & Installation and Commercial – X Large categories.

Delivered alongside Hutchinson Builders, the landmark Brisbane commercial tower represents a significant achievement in complex electrical design and construction. Perigon’s scope included the delivery of sophisticated electrical infrastructure, intelligent lighting systems and high-performance solutions supporting the building’s architectural, operational and sustainability objectives.

Receiving recognition across two categories is a testament to the quality of the finished project and the expertise, coordination and commitment demonstrated by everyone involved.

David James Recognised as a NECA Queensland Life Member

The evening also marked a significant personal achievement for Perigon Managing Director, David James, who was recognised as a Life Member of NECA Queensland.

This prestigious honour acknowledges David’s longstanding service to NECA Queensland and his contribution to the electrical and communications industry.

Throughout his career, David has remained committed to supporting the continued growth of the industry, championing high standards and creating opportunities for the next generation of electrical professionals. His recognition as a Life Member is a proud and well-deserved milestone.

Apprentice of the Year

Perigon apprentice Rosin Lyon was awarded Fourth Year Commercial/Domestic Apprentice of the Year.

The award recognises Rosin’s technical ability, commitment to learning, professionalism and performance throughout her apprenticeship.

Developing skilled and capable apprentices remains an important part of Perigon’s culture, and we are incredibly proud to see Rosin’s dedication recognised at a state level.
